Thats why we always recommend using a pad slightly larger than the backing plate. This 3 7/8" diameter backing plate is designed for use with 4" buffing pads. Features: Flexible edges allow the backing plate to be more forgiving. Designed to give you a backing plate that spins true. Fits any polisher with a 5/16" thread. Designed for 4" pads.
